Poster with a picture of the actor Åke Söderblom.

Åke Söderblom, this sparkling jewel in Swedish entertainment history, was born in 1910 and became one of the country's most beloved revue kings and actors. With a smile that could light up an entire theater hall and a wit that made the audience giggle with laughter, Åke was a force of nature on stage. His life was a cavalcade of show numbers, films and revues, where he threw himself between roles with a charm that was impossible to resist.
In the 1940s, especially in 1949, he was in the spotlight at Folkan in Stockholm with the revue Kanske en revy . There he worked with greats such as Sickan Carlsson and Karl Gerhard, and his ability to deliver sharp lines and exuberant energy made him an audience darling. But Åke was more than just a revue star – he appeared in numerous films, such as Springpojkarna and Herr Husassistenten , where his boyish twinkle and comedic timing always stole the show.
Beyond the spotlight, Åke was a man of warmth and humor, someone who could make both colleagues and friends laugh until tears welled up. He left us in 1965, but his legacy lives on in every giggle and applause that echoes from an old revue stage. Åke Söderblom was, and remains, an icon who reminds us that life is a little more fun with a joke and a song!

He poses in the picture as a prankster or thief when he is photographed at a police station with a sign for identification. The picture was taken in connection with his participation in the revue Mr Floy comes to town which was performed at the Södra Teatern in Stockholm in 1949.
