Greta Garbo. The legendary Swedish actress who captivated movie audiences both during the silent film period and in talkies, but who then ended her film career very early.
She thereafter lived her life as anonymously as possible and avoided publicity.
Here with the mascot and symbol of the American film company Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Leo the lion. In 1925, the film company had a fresh film contract with Greta Garbo and in the spring of 1926 an idea to create attention for the new film star.
