The Lidholm brothers were two of the most important pioneers in the Swedish dairy industry. On the Nådhammar estate in 1857 they built Sweden's largest barn. They then established a dairy on the property. At this time in the 19th century, the milk trade in the capital Stockholm was rather unorganized.

One of the brothers, Hildemar Albin, also had an early ambition to improve the poor hygiene in milk handling.

The picture shows one of their milkmen who handled the transports by horse and cart in Stockholm at the turn of the century. The milk jugs are visible on the platform.
