Air traffic Malmö - Copenhagen was opened with the departure from Malmö on 11 April 1919 of the first Thulin machine with the pilot Mr. Axel F. Lind as pilot and editor Söderlund from Stockholms-Tidningen as passenger. The historic occasion had gathered a large number of spectators outside at Ribersborg where the hydroaeroplane was moored. The journey, which was undertaken in rather unfavorable weather, went smoothly but took 27 minutes instead of 15 minutes.
