The king of couplets!
That's the headline on the cover of Kvällsstunden. The photo was taken by photographer Kristoffersson in 1952 at Cirkus in Stockholm. A real high-profile photo. That photo and others in the series were originally published in the magazine Filmjournalen no. 30 in 1952.
Very nice that my archive images find their way to a cover.
The article in Kvällsstunden tells of Karl Gerhard's sharp pen, which resulted in couplets that sometimes stirred emotions. But his private life also made quite a few headlines.
