You are not wise, Madicken.
That's the name of the film with Jonna Liljendahl playing the role of the girl Madicken. A character in Astrid Lindgren's books. She lives with her family on the Junibacken farm in a small town in the early 20th century. Her younger sister is called Lisabet. Madicken was also the name of the first book by Astrid Lindgren, which was published in 1960.
First movie.
The historic city environment of Söderköping serves as the backdrop for some of the filming in 1979. The cobblestone streets and old houses are a fitting setting. Actor and director Göran Graffman is in charge of directing. The maiden Alva, played by Lis Nilheim, walks hand in hand with Madicken and her little sister Lisbet during the filming. A sound engineer holds out a microphone and the camera is mounted on a car driving ahead.
Based on a real person.
Madicken's role model is Anne-Marie Ingeström and was a childhood friend of Astrid Lindgren in Vimmerby, Småland. Only after Anne-Marie's death in 1991 did Astrid Lindgren reveal Madicken's real identity. It was not uncommon for Astrid Lindgren to use real people as models for her characters. It is assumed that the Swedish sailor Carl Emil Pettersson was the model for Pippi Longstocking's father, Captain Efraim Longstocking.
