Unfortunately, there's not much written on the back of the faded archive photograph from the 1930s. Only that it's a "clever Englishman who has built this little cart with sails to carry out his errands effortlessly - but what happens when the wind dies down?"
Still, it's wonderful to have an image that leaves so much to the imagination. The obvious impossibility and visible impracticality of the idea and thought behind it fascinates.
