The Swedish America Line's ship M/S Kungsholm. A picture from the launch on March 17, 1928 at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg. In the summers, Kungsholm crossed the Atlantic about twice a month. Many famous Swedish personalities and actors traveled with her.
M/S Kungsholm was a sister ship to the company's already launched M/S Gripsholm. It was the most modern ship on the Atlantic at the time. Both ships ended their days as scrap.
A powerful image of the famous cruise ship as it leaves the berth.
