Helan and Halvan on a visit to Stockholm. The popular comedy duo tours around Europe and also visits Sweden in 1947.
They arrived by train at Stockholm Central Station and immediately attracted attention. They had a nice dinner at the Ambassadeur Hotel together with Lauritz Falk, Cécile Ekelund, Åke Söderblom and Egon Larsson.
In the evening, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are having fun at Teatergrillen. Perhaps they have had it explained to them that the original Swedish schnapps song Helan går is about a whole and a half schnapps glass.
Or maybe photographer Kristoffersson just cleverly arranged the glasses to get a really good picture.
Helan is indeed holding a well-filled schnapps glass, which Halvan looks at a little enviously as his glass is only half full...
