Stockholm 1909.

A detailed image from Skeppsbron Gamla Stan below Slottsbacken. A ferry has just docked, the roof of which can be seen in the foreground, and some elderly men are seen to have disembarked from it. At the round quay that is the location of the Gustafsbergsbåtarna, the shipping company's new cargo steamer Gustafsberg IV is firing up the boiler.

You can see the ill-fated Gotland ship Hansa in the background, which sank in 1944 with 84 deaths. The small Saltsjöbad ferry can be seen on the water on its way to Stadsgården. On the far left, the frigate Vanadis can be seen lying at Skeppsholmen's quay. The Munich brewery's new brew truck is on the quay. It was the first brew truck of its kind, made by Daimler. The 10 hp engine had iron wheel rims. At this time, the Munich brewery had over 200 brew horses for distributing its drinks, but only one truck. The archipelago boats also transported most of the goods out into the archipelago, and a few cows can be seen at the stern of Gustafsberg IV.

Gustav III's statue by Johan Tobias Sergel is clearly visible; it was unveiled on January 24, 1808.
