A woman with a period hairstyle called the Beehive. One of the most famous hairstyles from the 1960s where the goal was to create as high hair as possible and leave a bare and elegant neck.
The coffee cup and saucer are from one of Stig Lindberg's most classic 50s service sets where the saucer and cup match each other perfectly. The service was manufactured by Gustavsberg's porcelain factory and created for the H55 exhibition in Helsingborg in 1955.
It was manufactured until 1974.
What a lovely vintage motif and a unique combination of details that really makes the time travel to the 50s and 60s an experience. The picture was taken in 1962 and is now so many years later as beautiful as a painting.
